Global Compassion Network  (J-Jireh Missions Edmonton)

In response to the needs of thousands of people that we care for in our community,We’re community base, non profit.  We have been caring for the needs of Edmonton since 1997.

 Janice Friesen (Apostle, Pastor, Prophet & Revivalist) founded J-Jireh Mission (God’s Provision Shall be Seen)

I honor the legacy of Rev. Lindquist  now retired and left Pastor Janice Friesen in charge of the King’s Kitchen,

The name was changed to J-Jireh Missions with two locations west and east Edmonton.

 We continue to feed and caring for the needs destitute and hurting people who come through our doors.

We work with young offenders helping them to work off their community hours, showing them the reality of the outcome of their decisions that they Make at a young age. Many have gone on to graduate from high school and college and now are outstanding business people and members of our community.

 We minister to families at Christmas and Holidays with our special Dinners as hundreds bring their families, where a turkey dinner is served with all the trimmings, every child get a gift and many prizes are given away to families, it is a fun time for all, where no child if forgotten.

This brings joy to the children and the whole family, this is the best time of the year for our volunteers some are musicians who sing Christmas songs, plays or skits and so much more. Christmas with our volunteers serving joyfully as we care for single mothers and low income families, is the joy of our hearts every Christmas.  

Mission

We care for the needs of others like the Good Samaritan saw someone beaten up, helpless and destitute, and he feed and care for the one in need. We are called to care for the need in our community and across Edmonton.

To  bring hope and help to the prodigals where they will find acceptance and love of God in practical ways working through us daily.

Christmas 2010 we had our Free Christmas Dinner

At La Perle Community Center many poor, homeless, single mothers, and low income families came and join us for our annual free turkey dinner with all the trimmings and a free Christmas gift for their children and the whole families. The joy is to see the children joyful faces when they were handed a gift wow!

The recession has hit many families hard, because of this the giving has draped to our daily feeding programs, we had to rent space to be able to have a worm place so that many could come out of the cold and get a hot meal at least four times a week, and get worm clothing, as well as directing them to other agencies that have short term shelter so they do not have to stay out side in the cold.

THE NEED IS GREAT

After the free Christmas dinner many are phoning for help

We would like to open a mission location at La Perle Community Center

But we will need a place for storage with freezers and fridges to store excess to distributing them in a timely fashion to people who are in need.
